- Utilize design systems to design digital products that will be used across devices
- Champion usability and accessibility best practices
- Work collaboratively with content strategists, researchers, product managers, and engineers to create beautiful and impactful products
- Produce design artifacts that guide development, including mockups, wireframes, high fidelity prototypes, flowcharts, storyboards, or doodles
- Navigate complex situations with empathy and kindness, and work to build inclusive partnership with diverse groups of people
- Synthesize findings and formulate insights from usability testing
- Advocate for what you see as necessary for the project and the end user
- Jump into projects at various stages, from discovery to delivery
- Think creatively and employ a human-centered design process
What we're looking for:
- At least 5 years of professional experience navigating complex systems or working on public service delivery
- At least 4 years of experience designing technology products and services
- An adaptive, proactive, tenacious, and positive mindset
Not so little details:
This position will be a contract position that we expect will require 20-40 hours a week for the next couple months, and can start as soon as you are able. After that, we’d like to continue working together as projects and your availability allow.
